A 17th century wriggle work pewter flat lidded tankard by Lawrence Anderton of Wigan circa 1660-1690 having a touch mark to the inside base LA either side of a fleur-de-lys within a heart, 13cm wide c 18cm high, Lawrence Anderton contributed towards a gift for Charles II in 1661, was warden of the Wigan company of pewterers in 1666, went on to be master of the company in 1673 and 1684 and was Mayor of Wigan in 1685
