A pair of 'day and night' diamond flowerhead earrings, each centred with a cushion-shaped old-cut diamond stud in pinched collet setting, with post and butterfly fittings, accompanied by a pair of detachable flowerhead panels with graduated old and lasque-cut diamond set petals, white precious metal mounted, principal old-cut diamond weights approximately 0.75ct and 0.65ct respectively, total weight of old-cut diamonds approximately 1.80ct, length 2.15cm

The principal diamonds are of slightly different sizes but lively and fairly bright, both with a yellowish tint and surface-reaching fractures, estimated K to M colour and P1 clarity, assessed mounted. The principal diamonds measure approximately 5.5mm length x 5.2mm width and 5.8mm length x 5.6mm width respectively (depth of each stone unknown due to settings). Bordering diamonds have slightly variable colour and clarity, some stones with fractures/small chips, but give an overall lively appearance. It is likely that the earrings are later adapted as each panel has a small loop fitting to the reverse and the post/butterfly fittings are a later addition. The mounts have general surface wear, with patchy thinning to the edges of the settings. Some of the small closed-back settings have pinpoint-sized holes to the back. Metal standard is untested. Gross weight approixmately 8.3gm.
