the laughing figure finely carved standing wearing loose voluminous robes, open to reveal his chest and rotund belly, clutching a whisk and a fan, surrounded by five laughing boys clambering up his body, playing with his robes and prayer beads, the horn of reddish-brown tone, 16cm high, wood stand; together with a carved coral figure of a fisherman, standing upright and holding a basket and a string of fish beside a small boy, 10cm high, wood stand.

The horn group with feet pierced underneath for fitting into the wood stand; some light scratches and tiny nicks to the extremities; the coral figure with head re-stuck and nicks and tiny chips to the extremities.
