A grand 18th century grey-veined marble chimneypiece with inverse break front mantel supported on a cornice decorated with carved scrolls and dogtooth banding above acanthus leaf decorated corinthian capitals and with fluted pilasters, the mantel approximately 278cm wide and the whole standing approximately 230cm high, the recess between the pilasters approximately 173cm wide x 162cm high
Provenance:Acquired by the Vendor's parents and reputedly being originally from Kirtlington Park, Oxfordshire.

The chimneypiece for restoration requires repairs to a number of breaks. Small chips and losses overall and requiring cleaning etc.
