An exceptional exhibition standard flying scale model of this famous World War II Luftwaffe aircraft. The 'Stork' was highly versatile, its STOL abilities useful in the reconnaissance, observation, ambulance and air-sea rescue roles. The wood airframe fabric finished in overall olive green and national markings of the period, both sides of the fuselage decorated with a pale-green 'Ace of Hearts and unit coat of arms' representing an aircraft of Jagdgeschwader 54 during the Russian campaign, cockpit detail includes pilots seat, flying controls and instrument panel, the rear observer/gunner's seat with dummy machine gun, the aircraft cockpit floor with model wooden crate labelled for delivery, the aircraft fuselage with underslung bomb, the petrol engine driving a two-blade propeller, on braced sprung main undercarriage with rubber tyres and tail wheel
