19th Century mahogany and brass bound desk box, with twin campaign handles, brass line inlay, with crest in brass to the lid, and Bramah lock, the interior of the lid fitted with a concealed mirror and letter pocket, marked 'Edwards, manufacturer to His Majesty, 21 King Street, Bloomsbury, London' in gilt tooling, the fitted interior containing silver and silver plate mounted writing implements, with matching engraved crest, bearing marks for Thomas Whitehead London, 1834, 32cm wide x 14cm high x 22cm deep

Overall signs of wear, age, scratches and use. There is a split to the top. Some of the glass requisites are damaged. Tarnish and some discolouration to the brass. The silver plate mounted items are unmarked. There is no key, but the box is unlocked. Some wear to the velvet lining.
