Has been lined and cleaned, with a slightly patchy/uneven varnish surface. There is a scratch approx 5cm long to the lower right area, and fine craquelure throughout. Minor scratches. Under UV light there are some very minor areas of retouching, the main one being a small area under the sitter's chin, and a few background areas, most being very small.
