A late Victorian silver bookmark, by Sampson Mordan & Co, modelled with an owl perched on top, with engraved feathers and glass inset eyes, London 1895, 9cm long; and another similar by the same maker, modelled with an owl's face with glass inset eyes, London 1892, 9cm. (2)
Both are in good condition overall. There are some scratches to the one with the owl figure terminal, and the bookmark area slightly bent/mis-shapen.
