Ex. Colln William Yeats Baker (b.1838) ironmaster of Aspen House, Brixton Hill, by inheritance to his grandson Dennis (Yeats) Wheatley, author; bequeathed to J G Links, grandfather of present owner.
Possibly a gift by the artist to the original owner who was apparently a personal friend.
Joseph Gluckstein Links (1904-1997) art historian and expert on the Venetian artist Canaletto.
