An 18th century 'Atlas Factice' containing fifty three maps, mostly hand-coloured and regions principally including Holland, Luxembourg, Alsatia, Germany, Austria, Bohemia, Hungary, Poland, Prussia etc. Cartographers and publishers to include: N. Visscher, Thomas Jeffrey, G. de L'Isle, S. Sansom, M. Sentler, J.B. Homann etc. Some three and four fold maps included, each numbered in ink and with contents page, folio (55 x 40cm) bound in half leather with marbled boards (boards detached)
Map 2 with bookplate of George II's younger son William Augustus, Duke of Cumberland (Commander-in-chief of British forces in Germany at the start of the Seven Years War)
