Bears old typed labels verso with attribution to Velasquez
Frame with losses, wear and cracks. Has an old lining. Paint surface and canvas is not flat but have stiff waves. Reverse of canvas with vertical split/crack about 25cm long, and with circular green waxed seal. Craquelure to the paint particularly around gentlemen’s hair and front of jacket and paint surface appears to be covered with an additional varnish. Please see UV images.
