Provenance:Complete with a label stating that this could either be Maxwell William Munro, fourth son of General J Munro of Teaninich, born 1827 and died 1854, or Maxell Munro eldest son of James St. John Munro of Teaninich, born 1851 and died 1877.

The painting with some slight bloom to the surface just to the right of the sporran, otherwise generally in good condition overall. The frame in poor condition and in need of restoration. The painting lined.
