An 18th century silver mounted blue glass scent bottle and stopper, of urn shape, the front with engraved silver hinged patch box compartment, with mirror inset lid, the back with hobnail cut decoration, 12.5cm high
Sold for £1,100
Estimated at £200 - £300
An 18th century silver mounted blue glass scent bottle and stopper, of urn shape, the front with engraved silver hinged patch box compartment, with mirror inset lid, the back with hobnail cut decoration, 12.5cm high
Appears to be in good condition overall, with one tiny nick to the glass on the left 'shoulder'. The neck has not been reduced - the glass is cut and shaped around it, and the amounts all appear to be original, though they are unmarked.
