A Meissen snake-handled vase

The amphora shaped body with a central ground depicting hand-painted scenes of hunting and an army crossing a river surrounded by relief moulded ornamental borders and twin-spiralling snakes forming each handle. With a Meissen mark and the number 29 in blue in the under glaze. Incised '8EIIB'.

In generally good condtion. With light abrasion to the gilt highlighting on the handles. Rubbing to the gilt on the moulded borders.
