An early 19th century Austrian silver baluster ewer, with hinged cover and pierced angular handle, embossed with two oval reserves of classical females and cherubs with musical score, flowers and scrolling foliage, on circular foot, later presentation inscription, 30cm high, 20oz
The handle is broken to the top angular part, and there is a curled foliate piece missing to the top of the handle. Later presentation inscription to front dated 1906. Slight downwards push/depression to the footrim but stands well still. The upper border of the neck is gilded. The inscription reads 'Presented By The Parishioners Of GRIMOLDRY To Miss E. Wood, 1st Jan 1906'.
