to include three famille rose Canton porcelain bowls, a yellow enamelled tea cup and cover with a saucer, a pair of 19th Century Canton famille rose plates, a Canton dish, a further plate; a further pair of plates with floral decoration; a pair of Canton cups and saucers; two famille rose dishes with insect and floral decoration, an armorial blue and white porcelain dish, c1810, presented to General Pakenham, with his coat of arms later added, a collection of five blue and white cups and saucers and two jugs.

Provenance: from the estate of the late Sir John Elliott FBA, an eminent British historian and Hispanist. Regius Professor at the University of Oxford and honorary fellow of Oriel College, Oxford and Trinity College, Cambridge

The smallest of the three bowls with biscuit chipping to the rim. The middle sized bowl in generally good condition, with rubbing to the decoration. The larger bowl with surface dirt and rubbing to the decoration. The enamelled cup and saucer with losses to the enamel on the lid. The pair of Canton plates with signs of later repainting and a hairline fracture to one, light biscuit chipping to the other. The dish with rubbing to the decoration and a glued repair that has come off in two parts approximately 8cm long around the rim. The further plate in generally good condition and slight rubbing to the decoration. The pair of plates with shaped rims, one with a crack running from the rim, the other with significant repair throughout. The blue and white dish for Admiral Packenham in generally good condition. The two Canton saucers in generally good condition with slight biscuit chipping. The blue and white cups and saucers with minor losses, rubbing to the gilt decoration and one with notable repair. The canton cups in generally good condition.
