An aquamarine and diamond pendant, the octagonal mixed-cut aquamarine in millegrain collet setting, (aquamarine untested for natural/synthetic origin), surmounted by a garland of old, rose and lasque-cut diamonds, below a rose-cut diamond set bale with hinged fitting, two colour precious metal mounted, accompanied by a later silver ropetwist-link chain, pendant length 5.6cm
Pendant only: the aquamarine has a bluish-green hue with unsymmetrical facet symmetry but good transparency and is untested for natural/synthetic origin. The aquamarine has scatterd chips, nicks, scuffs and scratches to the surface and measures approx. 36.5mm length x 25.5mm width x 11mm depth. Diamonds have variable colour and clarity, some stones with chips and fractures. The principal diamond weighs approx. 0.15ct and also draws a pronounced yellowish tint. General surface wear and patchy tarnishing to pendant mount, the hinged pendant bale fitting is functioning. Metal standard is untested but possibly a gold and silver combination. Gross weight approx. 22.7gm.
