Nicotine staining to the painting. Some speckled surface dirt. Craquelure noticeable across the boat and the shore across the lower half of the painting. Some minor losses which have been later over-varnished in the left hand middle. Signs of overpainting to the prow of the ship. The picture appears to have been historically cleaned.
