A Georgian chinoiserie bookcase
The arch moulded cornice above a pair of astragal glazed cupboard doors, enclosing three shelves, raised on a base with velvet inset brushing slides and a fitted drawer in the frieze above a pair of cupboard doors with chinoiserie decorated panels, the plinth base on castors.

Some historic scuffing and chipping to the lacquer and chinoiserie decoration, evidence of repainting, scuffing notable, particularly on the edges, the replaced escutcheon to the glazed doors has been cut to fit the wood, very slight warping to the panels with a crack down the right-hand panel on the cupboard doors. One of the glass panels in the top corner of one of the doors has a crack. Some of the glass appears to be original, some has been later replaced.
