The sapphire has a milky purplish-blue hue with areas of straight and angular whiteish colour zoning that are just visible to the unaided eye. The sapphire has small chips, scuffs and surface wear, measuring approximately 7.9mm diameter x 6.3mm depth. The sapphire is untested for origin and treatments. Diamonds have variable colour and clarity, some stones with a slightly greyish hue and chips/fractures, estimated SI2 to P3 clarity and I to tinted colour, assessed mounted. The mount has considerable wear to the setting and some of the claws/setting tips may require repair. The setting may be a gold/silver combination but is untested as such. The shank appears to be later replaced, with solder joins present at the junctions to the setting. The shank has been re-sized and has surface wear throughout. Gross weight approximately 3.7gm.
